Composition and optical properties of chromium oxynitride films

چکیده
The films with various components were prepared by using the reaction gases N2 and O2 combined Cr2O3 CrN targets. focus of this study is at composition, optical, bandgap properties CrOxNy thin films. X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy, ultraviolet–visible–near-infrared (UV-vis-NIR) spectroscopy used to investigate phase structure, chemical optical films, respectively. results show that mainly consisted CrO2 phases. (O + N)/Cr atomic ratio deduced from (XPS) in target increased increase nitrogen flow, whereas concentration samples was greatly affected flow. When oxygen flow as low 1.0 sccm, sample composed oxides. oxide presented a good transmittance 60%–80% visible range. bandgap, obtained absorption value, spanned range 1.3–2.6 eV. These provide an excellent suggestion for preparation chromium oxynitrides applied aspect mechanical, electrical properties.

(Oxy)nitride materials have attractive properties directly related to the role played by nitrogen. A commonly used synthesis method consists of the thermal nitridation of an oxide precursor in flowing ammonia. As a consequence of the anionic N3-/O2substitution results an increase in the covalent character, illustrated by a shift of the absorption edge towards higher wavelength values. Thus, oxy...
متن کاملStudy of Composition and Optical Properties of Chemically Deposited Pd-xSb2S3 Thin Films
The study reports on the effects of different concentration of palladium impurities on the compositional and optical properties of Palladium Doped Antimony Sulphide (Pd-xSb2S3) thin films grown by the chemical bath deposition method. The films were grown at room temperature and other deposition conditions such as the bath temperature, pH, complexing agents were kept constant. The concentration ...
متن کاملGeneration of molecular nitrogen in chromium nitride and chromium oxynitride films
We describe the radiation damage in chromium nitride and chromium oxynitride films which occurs by electron beam radiation within the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The beam damage has been monitored by electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) in TEM image mode using a 200 kV Philips CM20 (S)TEM with a LaB6-cathode, equipped with a Gatan Imaging Filter (GIF). The CrN samples (CrN and C...
متن کاملMagneto-optical properties of chromium-alloyed manganese bismuth thin films
MnBi thin films have been considered for short-wavelength rewritable optical recording media due to the very large magneto-optic Kerr rotation and perpendicular anisotropy (Ku) of the hexagonal magnetic low-temperature MnBi phase. However, coincident structural and magnetic transformations near the Curie temperature ~360 °C! result in poor thermal cycling behavior, preventing the application of...
